We are happy to announce that the winter session of the Young Chemists' School NJChM "Pažinimas" has been successfully completed.
Throughout the session, young chemists actively participated in lectures, seminars, meetings with alumni and performed laboratory work. Laboratory work is an important part of the school, during which students can apply theory in practice, experiment safely and deepen their knowledge of chemistry.
On January 12th registration for study exchange for the fall semester or academic year of 2026-2027 is open! Study exchange is a great opportunity to deepen your academic knowledge at a foreign university, get to know other study systems and gain international experience!

On January 14th (Wednesday) at 4:00 p.m., prof. Mattia Biesuz (University of Trento, Italy) will hold an academic seminar at the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences of Vilnius University.
The professor will give a presentation entitled: Non-conventional processing of ceramics: sintering, strengthening, and the polymer-derived ceramics route. The seminar will be held in Inorganic Chemistry Auditorium (Room 141), Naugarduko St. 24.
The team of scientists from the Institute of Geosciences of Vilnius University participated in AGU2025, one of the largest and most influential international conferences for the global geoscience community, organized by the American Geophysical Union (AGU). The conference was held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, USA, bringing together thousands of researchers from around the world.
Dr. Agnieszka Małgorzata Lipke is a doctor of chemistry and researcher currently completing a postdoctoral internship at the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences at Vilnius University. She came to Vilnius from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin (Poland), where she gained a strong academic and scientific foundation in the field of advanced inorganic materials research. In this interview, Dr. Lipke talks about the topic of her postdoctoral fellowship, her research, and her experiences at Vilnius University.
