RETAKING AND REPEATING STUDY MODULES
Retaking a Study Module (Course) Exam
Exams that were not passed (including assessments) can be retaken once within the first two weeks of the new semester. If the exam period is extended, the retake must occur within two weeks after the extended deadline. If the exam (assessment) is not passed during the retake, it will count as an academic debt.
The period for retaking study module exams is outlined in the Academic Calendar.
The retake schedule is published on the Faculty website under the "Timetables" section. For exams that were not passed by 1–3 students, retakes should be arranged directly with the course instructors.
Repeating a Study Module (Course)
To resolve an academic debt, a student must repeat the course. Students who are required to repeat a course must submit a request to the Faculty Dean for course repetition in their "eStudent environtent" portal within the first five working days of the semester in which the course is taught. The cost of repeating a course is calculated as 1/60 of the annual study program fee, multiplied by the number of credits for the course. The fee for repeating the course must be paid no later than the end of the first month of the semester in which the course is being repeated.
Requests for repeating study modules in the Fall Semester of the 2024–2025 Academic Year should be submitted by September 6, 2024, and in the Spring Semester by February 10, 2025.
The fee for repeating a module in the Fall Semester must be paid by September 30, 2024, and in the Spring Semester by February 28, 2025.
Taking a Module (Course) Exam Externally
Students wishing to take an exam (or assessment) externally must submit a request to the Faculty Dean via the Faculty Study Department within 10 working days from receiving the academic debt notification or from the publication of the retake results in the VUSIS system, through the "eStudent" portal. If the student has filed an appeal regarding the final evaluation of the respective subject, the deadline for submission is counted from the day the student is informed of the Faculty's dispute resolution committee's decision.
The fee for taking the exam externally is 25% of the course (module) fee. The external exam fee must be paid within 10 working days from the issuance of the Dean's order and no later than 3 working days before the exam date.
