Next week prof. habil. dr. Sławomıra Skrzypek from the University of Łódź (Poland) will visit the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences.
After defending a doctoral dissertation in 1996 entitled "Azo dyes in polarographic and voltammetric determination of metals ions", prof. habil. dr. S. Skrzypek started to work at the position of an assistant professor.
In 2012 prof. habil. dr. S. Skrzypek defended habilitation thesis entitled "Relationships with the guanidine group as catalysts for hydrogen reduction: application in voltammetric analysis of pharmaceuticals in biological samples" and were promoted to the position of university professor.
In 2013 S. Skrzypek became the head of the Department of Electroanalysis and Electrochemistry and in 2014 the Head of the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry.
In 2016 prof. habil. dr. S. Skrzypek was elected for the position of Dean, and in 2020, after the elections, the Faculty Council presented her candidacy again for the position of Dean for the 2020–2024 term, which S. Skrzypek is currently holding.
In 2019, prof. habil. dr. S. Skrzypek obtained the title of professor.
From 2012, S. Skrzypek was a supervisor of 7 doctoral dissertations (including two awarded by the Polish Academy of Sciences), coordinator of 3 networks of the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS), a member of the Electroanalysis Section of the Analytical Chemistry Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a member of International Society of Electrochemistry.
Prof. habil. dr. S. Skrzypek research is mainly related to electroanalysis (electrochemical determination of biologically active compounds on solid electrodes; modification of the surface of solid electrodes; studies of electrocatalytic properties of metallic coatings in electrooxidation processes of organic compounds; research on the mechanisms and kinetics of electrode processes using conventional electrochemical methods and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, etc.).
On May 31st at 12 am we invite students and academic staff to the prof. habil. dr. S. Skrzypek lecture "Electroanalysis of chosen pesticides using different kinds of electrodes".
Lecture will be held remotely.
